Yin Woon Rani was named Vice President and Chief Consumer Experience Officer in 2017. She reports to Greg Shewchuk, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer, Americas.
Yin leads the U.S. marketing activation team for Campbell’s largest division, encompassing iconic simple meals and beverage brands including Campbell’s, Swanson, Prego, V8, and SpaghettiOs. Her focus is on creating world-class communication plans across all paid, owned, and earned channels, including the “Real Real Life” campaign for the iconic Campbell’s soup brand.
Yin joined Campbell as Vice President-Integrated Marketing in January 2014, overseeing global centers of excellence across advertising, media, digital and design. She led the company to shift 40 percent of its working media investment into digital channels, and pioneered industry-first digital innovations including the first-ever artificial intelligence and cognitive advertising program with IBM Watson.
Previously, Yin was President, North America, for global media company Universal McCann's Interpublic Group unit, where she managed more than 1,000 people and $7 billion in billings for the full-service media agency. She was responsible for all North American operations, including spanning media planning, buying, strategy, custom activation, and research and analytics, serving clients including Chrysler, Sony, Mastercard, L’Oreal, Charles Schwab, BMW, and the U.S. Army. She helped deliver a significant transformation program that created more integrated and impactful media product, including new process improvements, cultural changes, and talent management programs.
Earlier in her career, during her 15-year tenure at Grey Worldwide advertising and marketing agency, Yin oversaw accounts for GlaxoSmithKline, Proctor & Gamble, Hasbro, J.M. Smucker's Co., and Mars, Incorporated, ultimately achieving the title of Senior Vice President. She was involved with product launches and re-launches for iconic brands including Jif, Crisco, Pantene, Milton-Bradley, and Tums.
Yin earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in English and Chinese literature from Yale University, and her executive M.B.A. degree in management from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Yin is the founding chairperson for the Mobile Marketing Association’s MM25 marketers’ advisory board, a board member of the Ad Club of New York, and a member of Advertising Women of New York, Step Up Network, and the media advisory council for the American Association of Advertising Agencies. She has been honored as Advertising Working Mother of the Year, an Internationalist Top 30, one of the NJBIZ "Best 50" Women in Business, Brand Innovators Top 50 Women, and a YWCA New York Woman of the Year.
